The Gloucestershire Brass Band Association (GBBA) are pleased to announce three competition dates for 2023 and 2024.
The venue will be at the Severn Vale School, School Lane, Quedgeley, Gloucester, GL2 4PR, approximately five minutes from J12 of the M5 motorway.
This year’s competition will be held on Sunday November 19th. Adjudicator tba.
Section A will again be open to Registered Bands, performing an Own Choice March and Test Piece. Section B is open to Unregistered/ Training Bands where they have the alternative of a short programme that will include a March.
Local music publishers Wright & Round have again agreed to continue supporting and sponsoring Section B. We are also delighted that Denis Wick Products will be providing sponsorship for Section A.
We will be reintroducing the Entertainment Contest on Sunday April 21st 2024 for bands putting their summer programmes together, post Areas. Further details will be published nearer the time.
Next year’s Own Choice March and Test Piece competition will be held on Sunday November 24th 2024.
