Brass players needed for community project

Updated: Sep 29, 2019

We Are Lightning, a large scale theatre/music work that will be coming to Gloucester Guildhall on 25 & 26 May.

The show is about the joy that music brings to people’s lives and the need to have places to perform in. The premise of the show is that the last music venue in the city is coming to a close and the community rallies round to come together for its final swan song, the last hurrah.

The show is led by a house band alongside an exciting cast of community musicians and singers including a brass section, a teenage band, some heavy metal guitarists and a community choir. Each group will play some of their own music and then everyone will perform together. The show includes some narration and storytelling elements as well as music.

We are seeking brass players, either those in a band already, or those individually who might want to participate. We can offer a small honorarium to musicians for their time which should be a few of their regular rehearsals plus a dress + tech rehearsal and two performances at the Guildhall.
